Weekly Photo Challenge: The Golden Hour

My first entry for The Daily Post weekly challenge – one of the most precious pictures from our trip to Turkey last year. The experience of watching dawn break over the misty Cappadocian valley from a height of 1,000 feet as 100 other hot air-balloons glide ahead can only be described in one word – surreal.

Yes – surreal is the right word. I visited Cappadocia (land of beautiful horses) about 7 years ago and your lovely photo took me back. Happy days!

Those balloons look like little drops of stone – hovering.

  7. Angie says:

Stunning! That’s a really wonderful way to see the view of a place.

  8. Definitely surreal…and wonderful. The balloons appear to have launched from the tops of the cone-shaped pillars of earth.
